Belitsa tourist info and hotels

Belitsa is a town with 3 745 inhabitants, located 178km away from Sofia and 76km away from Blagoevgrad. There are many things that add attractiveness to the place. It is a town with very well-kept folklore and traditions in knitting, weaving, icon-painting and wood carving. It is also surrounded by some amazing landscapes and its history (of which there are records in the local historical museum) is interesting as well. In addition Belitsa has many comfortable places for lodging and eating and it is also very near (15km) the Semkovo Ski Resort. Twelve kilometers away from the town is located the first Park of the Dancing Bears in East Europe and it is a real attraction.

But may be the most important thing about the resort is its mild Mediterranean climate with helps in healing pulmonary diseases. Plus, in Belitsa there is a health school for these disorders.
