Sarafovo tourist info and hotels

Sarafovo was founded over 800 years ago by Thracians, but the beauty of the place is still unspoilt. Nowadays it is populated by only 3 000 people amongst who there are also foreigners. The beautiful houses of the town and its magnificent surroundings continue to attract visitors. Sarafovo is now considered a quarter of Bourgas and is located on the Black Sea coast between Sozopol and Nessebur, near the road from Bourgas to to the resort Sunny Beach.

There are many unique characteristics of Sarafovo that make it so charming. It has a wide, 4km long beach, covered with fine sand, almost black sometimes due to its high content of iron, manganese and magnesium. The closeness to the Bourgas Bay makes the water of the sea around warmer than the water of the other resorts. And this is a great advantage, because it lengthens the tourist season until late October.
